Kim Wilde | Another Step Tour, Jahrhunderthalle Frankfurt
Kim Wilde wasn’t really exemplary in the use of synthesizers but there were still some synths, it was the eighties, and it was … Kim Wilde!! I think at the time everyone was a little in love with her. All this was sufficient reason for us to go and see her show here in Frankfurt!
Kim Wilde and I remember … nothing! The same as with the Depeche Mode shows I had seen up to that point! My memory is in fact so bad that I always thought I had seen Kim Wilde for the first time before I had seen Depeche Mode for the second time and the way I know that this can’t have been the case is by doing the math based on what I find on the web.
The only time I find information about Kim Wild playing at the Jahrhunderthalle in Frankfurt (that much I remember) was during the Another Step Tour in 1986. There was apparently also the Rage to Rock Tour & Summer Tour in 1985 where she also visited Frankfurt but I can’t find a venue for that show and ‘Another Step’ feels more right, so that’s my pick. But that might be wrong and I no longer have the ticket to the show to provide certainty. Bummer!
To date, I was not able to find a setlist but if it was indeed the Another Step tour we saw, we would probably have at least heard ‘You Keep Me Hangin’ On’, I’m sure I enjoyed it back then as I still do today.
I’m still posting the link to the (empty) setlist below, maybe one lucky day somebody finds a copy of the setlist and provides the information. That would be really great!
If you also visited the concert in Frankfurt or if you saw the show in some other place during the ‘Another Step’ tour, leave a comment, I would love to hear from you.
